9/11 – Why?

I recently visited the 9/11 Memorial in Manhattan.? It is incredibly beautiful and moving!? As I pondered that horrific day, I had many questions.

I sat there quietly on that hallowed ground where thousands died from the dreadful attacks and scores died trying to save them.

As the sound of the reflecting pools blended with the heavy emotions?I could not help but feel I had more questions than answers.? Simple questions, but questions I believe humanity has never answered adequately.[unordered_list style=’circle’ number_type=’circle_number’ animate=’no’ font_weight=’regular’]

  • Why do people kill people?
  • Why is there so much hate in our world?
  • Why is history soaked with bloodshed?
  • Why has our civilization not progressed beyond barbarian acts to resolve conflict?[/unordered_list]

And? what can we (you and I) do as leaders to help?

I leave these questions for all of us to think about this day of profound remembrance, and I hope that each of us in our own small way will champion the cause of peace and humanity.

And to the families of those who died on 9/11, may God give you comfort and peace.
