Merry Christmas!

If the only gifts you?re giving this year are wrapped and tied up with bows, then you?re not done yet.? You have so much more to offer!
Genuine smiles.? Real eye-contact.? Heart-felt words.
Arms-wide-open hugs!? Tender kisses.? Holding hands.? Human touch.
Warmth.? Grace.? Forgiveness.? Love.
We all contain the power to touch another human soul.? It is a physical impossibility to touch the hand of another without your own hand experiencing the touch as well.? And, so it is with the heart.
Do not underestimate the gift of touch ? whether by hand or by heart.
You don?t have to be good with words to offer a sincere smile or a warm touch.? The humanity in each of us responds to sincere love.? It knows no boundaries of age, race, religion or social status.? We all need love.? We all want love.
The last few years have been difficult for me personally.? By nature an introspective person, I have looked inward long and hard as I?ve spent time sorting things out, grieving ? and healing.? There have been times when all I longed for was someone who cared enough to just sit next to me and hold my hand.? I didn?t necessarily need to talk.? I didn?t particularly want advice.? I just desperately longed for the tender warmth of human touch, to have that shared knowledge that everything is going to be alright?even if it?s not all right, right now.
Everyone wants to be touched ? whether by hand or by heart.
?That is my gift for you today. ?Regardless where you find yourself on your own journey in life, may I encourage you:
With your chin on your chest, look into your own heart.
Determine to learn and grow from your experiences.
Then, lift your head – and with purpose and conviction – look out from a heart of love.
Love is a gift which knows no season in the hearts of men.? As we consider the person we are shaping ourselves to be, let us purpose to lift our eyes beyond ourselves.? Let us purpose to look in less, and out more.? Let us commit to touch the people in our own circles of influence ? whether family, friends, colleagues, or strangers.
For when we touch the lives of others with love, we too are touched by love – whether by hand or by heart.
